INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY AND BI
The plant changed. Does your renewal story know?
A dated sprinkler impairment can make yesterday's survey, SOV and BI assumptions stale. Trace the condition to its source before deciding what belongs in the broker brief.

Sprinkler outage outlasts the plan
The site log reports 48 hours out of service against an 8-hour plan. Ask the plant lead to confirm the duration.

Does the BI basis still hold?
Request the restoration record and have a reviewer test the BI assumption before this enters the broker brief.
Conditional BI change only: sample $3M/day worksheet basis × 0–2 added downtime days if a reviewer agrees. Property change unknown.

Five dated snapshots, 12 seconds apart when playing. Pause or move the slider to inspect a record. Reduced motion starts paused.
Sample sequence: 15 Sep baseline; 21 Sep impairment reported; 23 Sep work order confirms 48 hours. A Mesa log later goes overdue, and a North Quay test entry is cleared. The conditional BI estimate stays provisional; property change and carrier acceptance stay unknown.
A March survey is not today's plant
A protection outage runs beyond its planned window while the insurance program still carries the earlier site picture. The dated log establishes what was reported. A restoration record and the site owner establish how long the condition lasted.
Until that review, the renewal file should show the question, its owner and the missing evidence. It should not silently treat the March assumption as current.
Watch the records that change the answer
Begin with a dated impairment log, the current SOV and BI worksheet, and the work order that closes the condition. Agree who supplies each record and when. A missed update stays marked unavailable until someone checks it.
Pilot source access and manual review cadence are agreed with the owner. No live feed or external integration is represented by this prototype.
Put the assumption before the number
The sample worksheet uses $3M of BI value per day. If a reviewer later decides the outage adds zero to two modeled downtime days, the conditional BI change is $0 to $6M. That arithmetic is a question to test, not measured loss, a property damage estimate or a premium effect.
The SOV and dependency review are still needed for a property scenario. A work order can confirm the duration; it cannot approve the loss model or speak for a carrier.
Start narrow, expand on proof
A founder-led paid pilot would start with a few sites, named source owners, a baseline, an alert threshold and a reviewer. The owner brief would say which condition was confirmed, which scenario inputs remain open and what to ask the broker before renewal.
Report what was caught, confirmed or cleared, including stale records and false positives. Measure time to a validated brief after the workflow runs, then decide whether to extend it.
